A Chicago native and education enthusiast, Ariela Abrevaya joins The Fund as an Associate on the Program Investments team. In this role, Ariela supports The Fund’s Innovative Educator Network’s investment and research efforts.
Ariela originally came to the Fund as a Leadership for Educational Equity Policy and Advocacy Fellow. Prior to this role, Ariela taught middle school and fourth grade students for five years, including two years as a Teach For America corps member. She also proudly served as a member of the LEAP Pilot Network through LEAP Innovations and as a coach for the Chicago Teaching Fellows through TNTP.
Ariela received dual honors in Cultural Anthropology and Psychology from Northwestern University. She later received her Masters degree in Educational Policy and Leadership and her teaching certification from Marquette University.
In her free time, Ariela enjoys exploring neighborhood cafes and taking scenic hikes. She aspires to visit five national parks within the next five years.
