Manager, Special Projects
As Manager, Special Projects, Ashley is responsible for engaging principals and other key stakeholders to developing user-friendly tools to increase principal quality in Chicago.
Before joining The Fund, Ashley served in a number cross-functional roles at Chicago Public Schools (CPS). Ashley joined CPS as a member of the inaugural Education Pioneers Yearlong Fellowship cohort after starting her career at Kraft Foods. While at CPS, Ashley played an integral role in school actions through her involvement in both the strategic planning process and ongoing collaboration with principals to ensure the smooth transition of impacted students.
Most recently she managed the Mentoring the Next Generation initiative designed to pair caring, adult mentors with kindergarten and eighth grade students and launched the Counselor-Mentor program designed to provide individualized supports to high risk students transitioning to high school.
Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Vassar College and an Ed. M in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She enjoys exploring Chicago’s great restaurants, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
