Elizabeth Jamison-Dunn is a Chicago native and has always had a passion for social justice and educational equity. Elizabeth attended Howard University where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science. Upon graduation, Elizabeth joined Teach for America as a 2007 Chicago corps members and was hired as a 7th grade teacher at Catalyst Circle Rock Charter School.
While at Catalyst, Elizabeth attained a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Curriculum and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration, both from Dominican University. She received of the Catalyst 2012 Agent of Change Award and the 2012 Teach for America Chicago Alumni Distinguished Teacher Award.
That same year, Elizabeth rose to the role of Director of Instruction which allowed her to impact student achievement on an even wider level. Elizabeth served in the capacity of Director of Instruction for three and a half years. In that time she assisted in successfully moving the school from a Level 3 rating to a Level 1 rating according to the CPS 2014 School Quality Rating Policy. In June 2015, Elizabeth became principal at her school. She is excited to lead her school to greatness in the years to come.
