Scott Smith is the former president of Tribune Publishing and publisher of the Chicago Tribune. He is also the founding chairman of The Chicago Public Education Fund.

A Tribune executive for 30 years and a native of the Chicago area, Scott holds a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and a master’s degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He serves as chairman of National Louis University, and on the boards of the McCormick Foundation, Northwestern Memorial Foundation, Mather Lifeways, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Chicago Humanities Festival.
