About Vincent Gay

Vince is the Founding Principal at Baker College Prep. Prior to opening Baker, Vince spent three years as Assistant Principal at UIC College Prep. Although, the school has only been open four years, Baker has been recognized by INCS and Chicago Magazine as one of the top Charter High Schools in Chicago. Vince is looking forward to graduating his founding class of seniors this Spring.

Vince has been involved in education for more than 15 years. While attending Temple University, he taught GED classes to residents in North Philadelphia. This experience sparked his interest in education and he went on to teacher U.S. History in New Jersey for four years.

Vince is aware that closing the achievement gap will require the work of those in and outside of a school building. The EAC provides an amazing opportunity to help bring about equity to the students of Chicago, while also working alongside likeminded peers.
