Chicago Data Initiative

The Fund supported a collaborative effort between CPS and the Harvard Graduate School of Education to enhance teacher utilization of student work and existing formative assessments to improve classroom instruction and yield higher student achievement. Fund-supported work included a “Data Readiness” report, which identified then-current practices throughout CPS with regard to teacher use of student data, and multilevel professional development organized in five groups of schools to improve teacher practices.
