Principal Quality Plan
The Fund invested up to $75,000 to conduct due diligence around talent management structures and systems that best support principals. This investment supported consulting capacity to interview principals and other key stakeholders about the principal quality functions, as well as secondary research into best models nationally.
The research and insights from this investment played a role in CPS’ decision to establish a Department of Principal Quality, which ensures accountability for all principal quality efforts, including preparation and placement, new principal on-boarding and retention-focused programs. The Department of Principal Quality plays a critical role in principal quality efforts from preparation to retention.
