Wayne Zhang

As an Associate of Engagement and Data and Policy, Wayne works across The Fund’s teams in various capacities. On the Engagement team, Wayne highlights the Fund’s work with education leaders through storytelling, digital media and reports. On the Data and Policy team, Wayne supports research about emergent education topics and The Fund’s efforts to facilitate principal-focused changes in district policy.

Wayne’s background is in teaching. After three years of interning in New Haven Public Schools in college, he taught English abroad twice: first, as a Fulbright Scholar in Strasbourg, France, and second, as a Yale-China Fellow in Changsha, China. He enjoys working with students of all different backgrounds, and aspires to combat systemic education inequality.

Wayne graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Education Studies. He is a South Bend, Indiana native, but enjoys Chicago for its vibrant culture and excellent Chinatown. Wayne enjoys cooking, writing about pop music and playing the Settlers of Catan.
