Emily Feltes

Principal at North-Grand High School

Emily Feltes is the principal of North-Grand High School, a neighborhood CPS high school located in West Humboldt Park. This is her fourth year as principal but her eighth year at the school; previously, she served as the Curriculum Coordinator and Assistant Principal. Ms. Feltes joined the Educator Advisory Committee in order to network with other leaders in the district and to share her voice as a principal on important topics.

This year, Principal Feltes is focused on raising key metrics, such as North-Grand’s college enrollment and college persistence rates. Additionally, it is her goal for students to demonstrate further growth on the PSAT and SAT at all grade levels. Most importantly, Principal Feltes is focused on ensuring that all students are afforded a high quality, equitable education. Principal Feltes believes in neighborhood schools and is proud to be the principal of a high-performing neighborhood school where all students are welcome!
