Latasha Geverola

Principal at Oscar DePriest Elementary School

Latasha Geverola is a second-year principal at Oscar DePriest. She is as dynamic and fair minded as she is smart. Latasha earned her bachelor’s degree in education at National Louis University after transferring from Lewis. She knows a good fit when she sees one and knew she would thrive in a more urban environment.

After her bachelor’s degree, Latasha continued her education with a master’s in computer technology and then another in educational leadership. Still focused and motivated, Latasha began and finished her course work toward a PhD in leadership.

You will never meet anyone quite like Latasha. She is a strong leader and an even more loyal friend. She doesn’t know how to slow down, nor does she desire to. Her husband and children keep her on her toes at home as she keeps her staff moving onward & upward at DePriest. She is goal oriented and an insatiable learner. Definitely one to watch as she hones her skills and puts to practice all that she’s seen and experienced in her 20 years as an educator.
