Andrea Aguilera Villalobos

As a member of the People and Operations team, Andrea helps keep the office running smoothly by supporting team members and office organizational needs, leading hiring cycles, and supporting monthly financials.

Andrea previously worked in the nonprofit field, specifically with Erie Neighborhood House, as a coordinator supporting the rollout of the GoCPS High School Common Application process. Before working at The Fund, Andrea worked at Chicago Public Schools supporting Network 8’s Southwest Side elementary schools for three years. While working at Network 8, she supported the Chief of Schools alongside all 24 school principals, assistant principals, network staff, parents, and school clerks. Working with school principals allowed Andrea to see firsthand the importance of supporting educators, which led her to The Fund.

Andrea graduated from Dominican University with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and women and gender studies. She hopes to be a social worker one day. Andrea has a passion for social justice and actively advocates for the community. She is part of Erie Neighborhood House’s T.E.A.M program, where she mentors a high school student. She lives in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, where she enjoys the food, culture, and art. Outside of work, Andrea enjoys going to the gym and lifting weights, going to concerts, and hanging out with family and friends.
