Anna Piepmeyer

As the Director of Program Investments, Anna supports The Fund’s work to identify and scale impactful programs and supports that help principals drive improvement across Chicago’s public schools.

Anna joined The Fund in 2014. Prior to her role, she served as the Director of Education at literacy nonprofit Open Books, where she helped build the organization’s program suite and managed a team that designed and delivered innovative literacy programs to thousands of high-need students in the city. A native resident of Utah, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from The University of Utah and a Master’s Degree in the Humanities from The University of Chicago.

Anna divides her free time between supporting her community – she’s a Local School Council member and dedicated Big Sister – and traversing Chicago with her family, including her husband, Ben, and son, Sebron.

We aim to serve more than 600 principals and 360,000 students by 2023, with an emphasis on the schools that most need support.

Celebrate School Leaders

This October, school communities, city officials and corporate leaders will join together to lift up the great work of principals and their APs.
