Asia Canady

As the Chief of Staff, Asia’s role is to manage the strategic planning process for The Fund, co-lead The Fund’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Antiracism (DEIA) work, and develop systems to communicate organizational progress.

Before The Fund, Asia served as an early childhood legislative advocate and an elementary school teacher in New York City. Asia is the Vice-Chair of the Greater Chicago Food Depository and an alumnus of the Chicago chapter of the New Leaders Council. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Occidental College, a Master of Science in Teaching from Fordham University, and a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Chicago.

In her free time, Asia enjoys working towards a world on the other side of white supremacy, biking, cooking, and being the cool aunt.

Invest in Chicago's Principals

Principals have an out-sized impact on their schools and communities. Any amount can make a difference.

Support Our Work

We aim to serve more than 600 principals and 360,000 students by 2023, with an emphasis on the schools that most need support.

Celebrate School Leaders

Every October, school communities, city officials, and corporate leaders join together to lift up the great work of principals.
