Emily supports the Portfolio team on impact evaluation, data analysis and case study projects. She is also staffed on The Fund’s pilot for early learning supports in 12 Chicago schools expanding universal Pre-K in the 2019-20 school year and owns design and marketing projects for the Principal Appreciation Campaign.
Prior to The Fund, Emily worked at a number of Chicago and Silicon Valley technology companies in product, marketing and user research roles. Emily is a recent graduate of Northwestern University, where she studied economics and worked on a research team studying two-generational human capital development programs while also serving as student body president.
A lifelong Chicagoan, Emily grew up in Noble Square and now resides in Uptown. Emily is also a proud alumna of the Chicago Public Schools system, where she saw the impact of excellence in principal leadership firsthand. Her passion for public education was shaped by her mother Kathryn Ash’s support and advocacy for Mark T. Skinner Elementary School (now known as Skinner West) as a Local School Council representative.
