Fortunata Blecharczyk

In partnership with the People and Operations team, Fortunata (Fort) supports the organizational needs of the office and staff.  She is responsible for ensuring key financial and operational processes run smoothly and that The Fund is a productive and positive place to work.

Prior to her work at The Fund, Fort worked in retail for 21 years, mainly as a Store Manager for Carter’s and Bath & Body Works, graduating from the Store Manager Leadership Academy (2015) and SMLA Grad Program (2016).  She successfully ran numerous stores and teams throughout the years with her main focus always being on taking care of my internal and external customer.  She developed and promoted numerous team members by ensuring to take the time to teach and coach in the moment, hold ongoing goal oriented conversations and lead by example.

Fort loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.  She is the secretary for the Mary R Faraci-Release The Past. Embrace The Future Foundation.  Her family started the foundation in honor of her cousin Mary who passed away of cancer on Valentine’s Day in 2013.  In partnership with Amita Health and the Cancer Institute Boutique, the Foundation raises funds to help support cancer patients who utilize the Boutique’s many services, such as counseling, financial services and whatever else they need to help cope with their cancer diagnosis.
