As Chief of Staff, Rachel is responsible for managing internal and external relations for the CEO. Rachel works closely with the Communication and Public Affairs team in preparing for and executing against grants and fundraising campaigns, the development and release of reports and case studies, and ongoing communications efforts.
Rachel began her career in education as a fourth grade teacher in Dallas-Fort Worth. Prior to joining The Fund, Rachel worked in various roles supporting recruitment and talent with the Noble Network of Charter Schools and Teach For America. She also most recently served as a Policy Fellow through the Urban Leaders Fellowship in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Currently, she serves as the External Chair for the Alain Locke Charter School Associate Board, where she oversees external fundraising efforts and campaigns.
Rachel recently received her Masters of Education in Cultural and Educational Policy from Loyola University Chicago, where she completed coursework with a concentration in American Urban Education (K-12). She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and minor in Nonprofit Management.
