As Special Assistant to the CEO, Steffani is responsible for managing internal and external relations for the CEO. Steffani works closely with The Fund’s leadership and operations team. Steffani shares a passion for education and is eager to make a difference with The Fund on the leadership level.
Prior to joining The Fund, Steffani served as Executive Assistant at the University of Chicago Consortium on School Research (UChicago Consortium). She provided administrative support to UChicago Consortium’s leadership team. She also provided database and spreadsheet management related to management of grant obligations. And worked closely with the Communications team on external communications.
Steffani began her career at Chicago Public Schools (CPS), providing 11 years of district administration. Throughout her time at CPS, she held several roles in the Office of Early Childhood Education. Her most recent position was CLASS Coordinator, a role in which she led a team of 20 CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) assessors who observed teacher-child interactions, which allowed the district to provide concentrated professional development to teachers.
A Chicago native, Steffani is an avid Chicago Bears fan and spends her time reading or in her home away from home visiting her parents and four younger siblings in Milwaukee.
