The Fund Welcomes Jim Frank to its Board of Directors
“I’m pleased to join Chicago’s business and philanthropic leaders as the newest member of The Fund’s Board of Directors,” said Mr. Frank. “I look forward to helping The Fund achieve its ambitious goals in the years ahead.”
Mr. Frank joined Wheels, Inc., which is an industry-leading automotive fleet leasing and management company, in 1967 and has served as CEO since 1974. Wheels leases and manages over 300,000 vehicles in North America and with its partner, ALD Automotive based in Paris, some 1.3 million vehicles in 41 countries. Over the years, Mr. Frank has made countless contributions to the fleet management industry as it has grown and evolved.
He has presented keynote speeches at numerous industry events and has represented the Industry in Washington having testified in Congress, at the Treasury and the FTC.
Mr. Frank is deeply involved in the Chicago community, currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago Hospitals, a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago, Chair of the Intrinsic Network of Charter Schools, and on the Board and Chair of the Action Committee of the Field Museum of Chicago. He serves on the Board of the Illinois Network of Charter Schools (INCS) and previously on the Board of Overseers at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College.

They lend their valuable intellect and influence in promoting the singular goal of making Chicago the first major urban area to achieve a critical mass of great public schools, and they are deeply involved at every stage of The Fund’s investment process.
Mr. Frank holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Dartmouth College.
