Affinity Groups Overview

The Affinity Groups Program propels Black and Latino/a/x educators into the next step of their leadership journey within Chicago Public Schools (CPS). We have partnered with the Latino Leadership Pipeline and CenterForward to provide you with a robust professional network, individualized coaching, and targeted professional development to accelerate your path to a school leader role.

Through group sessions, you will deepen your understanding of the CPS Framework for Leadership and Equity Framework while exploring how to leverage your unique cultural identity as a cornerstone of your leadership. You will also refine your resume to highlight the tangible results you achieve. By the program’s conclusion, you will be ready to take concrete next steps, such as enrolling in a principal preparation program or applying for a next-level leadership role (such as assistant principal or instructional support leader) within a CPS school.
