Christina Herzog

Director, Education Programs, Crown Family Philanthropies

Christina Herzog is the Education Program Director at Crown Family Philanthropies (CFP), a family-led foundation dedicated to partnering with communities to effect just and lasting social impact across generations. In this role, she leads CFP’s education funding strategy and investments, with a vision to elevate Chicago as a national model where all students — no matter their race, neighborhood, or socioeconomic background — have access to high-quality, positive school experiences. CFP currently prioritizes investments in early childhood education; effective teachers and leaders; postsecondary success; and field-building via research, best practice development, amplifying community voice, and more.

Prior to joining CFP, Christina led the Office of Management and Budget at Chicago Public Schools, where she was responsible for the district’s budget and guiding its alignment with district priorities and policies. She began her career as a consultant with both KPMG and Deloitte.

Christina holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago. She is a proud, current CPS parent.
