In her role as Manager of Program Investments, Esther leads The Fund’s Priority Schools portfolio and is responsible for providing strategic direction to The South Side Education Alliance and other initiatives designed to strengthen school leadership and improve public school performance across Chicago.
Esther began her career in Asia, where she taught and developed ESL programs at elite high schools in South Korea and China. After five years abroad, Esther chose to focus her career on taking measurable steps to make a positive and meaningful impact in her hometown of Chicago. Before joining The Fund team, she worked at 826CHI, overseeing data efforts to increase equitable access to quality arts education programs in the city.
Esther graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies. She enjoys listening to political podcasts, running along the lakefront and visiting museums across the country.
