TaNiya Bellamy

TaNiya Bellamy joined our team in June 2024, bringing with her a master’s in public policy from The University of Chicago. Originally hailing from Virginia, she’s a proud graduate of Portsmouth Public Schools, where her mother currently serves on the school board.

TaNiya completed her undergraduate studies at the illustrious Virginia State University. She is passionate about K-12 education policy and believes every child deserves access to high-quality education. Her commitment to early childhood education is evident from her time with Jumpstart as a corps member, where she worked in pre-K classrooms focusing on early literacy and social-emotional development.

When she’s not reading or completing hand embroidery crafts, she spends time volunteering for different organizations in the city and mentoring young women.
