Principal Yalil Nieves Wants Mary Gage Peterson Elementary to Feel Like Home For All

On this #20thAnniversaryTuesday, we profile Principal Yalil Nieves from Mary Gage Peterson Elementary. She talks about her journey from being a young girl in Panama who loved learning, to the leader of a multicultural, diverse community.

“This reminds me of home. This reminds me of my middle school,” she summed up. “It makes me happy. I’m just thankful and grateful that I’m here.”
