Finding the Right Fit


Principal Barton Dassinger of Cesar E. Chavez Multicultural Academic Center shares his school’s approach to high school selection. His team emphasizes finding the right fit for students using innovative tools like the Chavez High School Planner (developed in-house at Chavez) and High School Bound (developed thanks to the Lefkofsky Family Foundation). Barton participates in multiple Fund programs, including the Summer Design Program, the Chicago Principals Fellowship and the Professional Learning Communities.
