Meet Ezgi, one of our 2016 Fellows at The Fund!
Originally from St. Louis, Ezgi is a rising junior at Loyola University Chicago studying international studies and economics. This summer, she will create news posts, profiles and feature videos to tell principals’ stories for The Fund.
At Loyola, Ezgi works as an eighth-grade algebra coach and tutor. She is involved in Women in Leadership Loyola and is a member of a sorority. Some of her favorite pastimes include conversation, dining and exploration of the world around her.
Ezgi’s path crossed with The Fund’s due to her lifelong passion for education. Her love for learning started at a young age through her college professor parents emphasizing the importance of education at home. She is excited to have the opportunity to improve Chicago’s public schools so that each student can have the high-Âquality education that she so greatly values.
While Ezgi is unsure about her plans for the future, she knows she wants work in service of others. Over the next few months, her goals are to learn as much as she can through The Fund while helping the Chicago community.
