AI Leader Fellowship Overview
A yearlong cohort for school leaders, fueled by LEAP Innovations, that centers on creating more time for instructional leadership through the strategic use of AI to limit the workload of daily leadership activities.
The cohort is grounded in a core set of principles: AI is a time-and-quality strategy, not a separate initiative, designed to save time on administrative tasks so leaders can repurpose that time toward instruction. Distributed leadership is the delivery model in which leadership is spread across assistant principals, deans, coaches, ILT members, and teacher leaders. Excellence is defined in observable practice rather than vague reputation, using measurable outcomes across trust/culture, instructional coherence, team/talent, and operational alignment.
Leaders work on real problems in their own buildings through a design-thinking process, building AI fluency along the way through tools such as Google Gemini, Gems, Canvas, and NotebookLM. The format is hybrid and offers individual coaching, peer groups, and portfolio-based deliverables.
