Malott Educator Fellowship Overview
The Malott Educator Fellowship is a two-year leadership development program that we offer in partnership with the University of Illinois Chicago’s Center for Urban Education Leadership and Wise Leadership Consulting. The program creates a learning community and targeted coaching specifically designed to support the unique needs of extraordinary leaders in school communities who are achieving great things despite challenges like high student absenteeism and mobility as well as low housing security.
The fellowship combines monthly full-day learning labs with individualized leadership coaching. During learning labs, you will engage in small-group professional learning communities that collectively identify and work to address pressing challenges within your schools.
The fellowship aims to positively impact your self-efficacy, practice, job satisfaction, and retention to ensure that you and principals in similar schools thrive in your positions, ultimately cultivating stronger organizational and student learning outcomes. The program also contributes to valuable research on supporting the diverse needs associated with leading through pandemic recovery in these schools.
