UChicago Consortium on Chicago School Research

Beginning with Fund II, and continuing into Fund III, The Fund supported the development and promotion of teams of leaders within schools.  A team was identified as consisting of a principal who graduated from a Fund-supported pipeline program (LAUNCH, UIC, and NLNS were included because their sample size was large enough) as well as at least three National Board Certified Teachers. The Fund commissioned multiple studies and reports from the University of Chicago Consortium on Chicago School Research to consider the distribution and impact of these investments, both in terms of student test score gains and also in terms of school climate.
