Caroline Huebner

Caroline Huebner is an active philanthropist and volunteer in the Chicago area with interests in a wide range of civic organizations and education. Most recently she served as president of the Women’s Board of the Lincoln Park Zoo, where she led the Board’s efforts to raise more than $1 million a year to support the Zoo’s capital campaign initiatives. Caroline currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Women’s Board of the Lyric Opera, continuing her long-standing commitment to our community’s arts organizations.

She was involved from the beginning in the Ravinia Festival’s Reach-Teach-Play programming in Chicago public schools and was one of the founders of the Ravinia’s El Sistema project,where she worked with CPS students to bring social change through music. The El Sistema program continues to blossom and has now served hundreds of young people in Chicago’s public schools. Caroline’s commitment to development can be seen in her leadership of the Junior League of Chicago’s 100-Year Gala, two Ravinia Festival Galas, her support with her husband, Charlie, of the Merit School of Music, and the Lincoln Park Zoo Ball, all of which have brought necessary and valuable support to our community. Caroline and Charlie are parents of a daughter, Julia, a graduate of Walter Payton High School and a son, George, a Walter Payton freshman.
