Jennifer Cervantes

As the Manager of Educator Supports, Jennifer works on our program design and execution. She manages the programming and strategy for our Professional Learning Communities, Masterclasses, and high school and charter school strategy serving CPS principals and their teams.

Jennifer is a CPS alum and grew up on the Southwest Side of Chicago attending district and charter schools. Her passion for education started as a young child, inspired by the support and championship from her very own teachers and school leaders. As a proud Posse alum, Jennifer graduated from Connecticut College with her Bachelor of Arts in human development. She was determined to return to her hometown to continue transforming the education workforce that shaped the leader in her.

In the last six years, Jennifer has completed two AmeriCorps service terms with City Year Chicago and then stayed on staff as a program manager serving schools in the Englewood, South Chicago, and Humboldt Park neighborhoods. As a senior impact manager, Jennifer worked on the design and strategy for her site’s social-emotional learning and academic development model while supporting the professional development needs of program managers.

Outside of her work, Jennifer enjoys spending time outdoors, reading books by the waterfront, and spending quality time with her friends and family!
