Melanie Ramos

Melanie Ramos is a Chicago native and a proud Chicago Public Schools alum (Go Payton Grizzlies!). She brings several years of educational and nonprofit finance and operations management experience to The Fund. Her professional homes have included City Year Chicago, Match Charter Schools in Boston, LEARN Charter School Network, and Arabella Advisors. 

As The Fund’s senior associate, finance and operations, Melanie specializes in financial systems optimization and process improvement. She also partners with Fund colleagues to manage event planning, culture-building, general operations, and compliance work.

Outside of work, she enjoys networking with other first-generation professionals, hiking with her two rescue dogs, Luna and Athena, adding to her TBR book list,  and hosting barbecues with her extended family.
