Yaslin Ruiz

As the Manager of People Operations and Organizational Culture, Yaslin manages the professional growth and development initiatives for our associates and managers and ensures organizational culture aligns with The Fund’s values.

 Yaslin is a Chicago Public Schools alum and grew up on the Northwest Side of Chicago with roots in Humboldt Park. Her passion for education and empowering young people comes from the educational champions throughout her upbringing and recognizing educational support gaps among her five siblings. As a first-generation college graduate from the University of Iowa, she is determined to continue serving in education organizations that positively affect Chicago’s youth and their families.

 Before joining The Fund, Yaslin served with City Year Chicago in various roles, managing program implementation, professional development, and organizational initiatives to evolve organizational culture.

 Outside of work, Yaslin enjoys spending time with her family, monthly book-clubbing with Rise and Thrive Latinas, and finding new shows to watch.
