2025-26 LSC Engagement Survey

In partnership with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Office of Local School Council Relations (OLSCR) and Department of Principal Quality (DPQ), The Fund administered its second LSC Engagement Survey during fall 2025, with the first taking place in 2023.

The survey gathered responses from 608 LSC members across 325 schools, representing 64% of all CPS schools with LSCs. Compared to 2023, participation increased by 50 respondents and 30 additional schools, reflecting expanded reach and engagement.

Survey outreach occurred through OLSCR email communications. Respondents represented a range of LSC roles and experience levels, offering perspectives from both new and returning members. Detailed demographic breakdowns are available within the dashboard.

To deepen the findings, The Fund also conducted five focus groups in February 2026 with 36 LSC members representing 35 schools. Insights from these conversations helped provide context for the survey results and are included in the full 2025-26 LSC Engagement Survey Overview.
