About the Summer Design Program
The Fund’s Summer Design Program (SDP) is a unique professional development opportunity that offers school teams the space, time and expertise to design innovative solutions to some of their most pressing challenges. Since its launch in 2013, educators from 140 Chicago public schools have participated in SDP.
Each year, we partner with three national or local organizations that serve as track leaders for up to 50 school teams. Track content changes annually, based on feedback from principals and teachers about the kind of support they need most.
In 2017, we will offer three tracks to help educators innovate around Culture and Climate, Innovative Scheduling or Time Management.
Learn more about each track by checking out our FAQ page or apply here.
